Missing tourist found on Rudranath track

A young man, who was part of a group of 49 tourists who had come on a trip to Rudranath from Delhi, lost his way and went missing. Based on the information, police and SDRF launched a search operation. The passenger was recovered safely on Friday afternoon.
The team had gone on a pilgrimage to Rudranath on October 1. On the return journey, on 2nd October everyone stopped at Lwinthi Bugyal and on 3rd October everyone came down there. But Akash Gupta (27), resident of Shahdara, New Delhi, was left behind and did not reach the bottom. After which he along with the local people contacted the police. On Friday, October 4, the police and SDRF team conducted a search operation.
After a search of about three hours, Akash Gupta was found in the forest near Pung Bugyal, about five km above Sagar village. He had lost his way due to darkness. Due to the rough road, he suffered injuries on his hands and legs. SI Anil Binjola, SI Anand Kashmira, Constable Sanjay, Pradeep Kukreti, Sachin and SDRF team were included in the investigation.
